Let me tell you about a hunting trip I won’t forget anytime soon. I decided to check out a new spot for duck hunting, one I’d never been to before. After some digging on Google Earth, I found what looked like an amazing little pond hidden away in the trees. I packed up all my gear and set off into the dark.

Boy, what a trek it turned out to be! The walk was way longer than I thought, and here I was, slogging through mud while hauling around what felt like 60lbs of gear. I finally arrived at the pond just as the sun was starting to rise. I hurriedly tossed out my decoys and nestled myself into some brush along the bank, feeling all pumped up for a good hunt.

About 20 minutes in, I suddenly hear this loud 'moo' behind me. I whip around and there I am, chilling on the edge of someone’s farm pond, with a whole herd of cows just staring at me, making me feel like the biggest fool. It turns out my Google Earth skills need a serious overhaul. I guess not every spot is meant to be a hidden gem
