Hello all, I am a former hunter and love to shoot. Former hunter meaning that I have yet to find non-public land in W KY to hunt. It's tough when all the land is leased to out of state hunters. Love to shoot and have a large Ruger collection. Any questions or comments, please DM me or answer in this thread.

Land Between the Lakes is a good place to hunt and fish Kentucky and Barkley lakes. If you don’t own it in that part of the state you will have to pay someone for a lease. But LBL has a lot of acres to roam on!
Regards,

I'm older and hunt by myself so prefer something closer to home in Hoptown. Not a fan of Public land so I limit myself i guess.

Ahhhh, my old home 20. I lived north of town between Princeton and Hoptown in Bainbridge Rs. Best white tail hunting I even had, even including out west. A lease in that area will be both expensive and hard to find. Most of the farmers won’t even consider letting someone hunt without a lease and $$. The Amish are coming in up by my old neighborhood and they are killing anything. If it’s brown, it’s down according to them.

They hunt without 760’s and 740’s with 10 round mags and we called them Amish chopper guns. You could tell when they hunted

Lotsa land over at LBL we used to have a hunt camp there until I moved to Hoptown.

Glws. Merry Christmas.

Welcome aboard! Here, we combine our passion for firearms with a dose of southern hospitality. Whether it’s deer season, time spent at the range, or just swapping gear tips, you’ll find a community that treats you like family.

What's your favorite Ruger?
