For anyone out there running cans on gas guns, what mounting setups have you found that help control backpressure and cut down on gas in the face? I'm particularly interested in which brake designs and thread standards worked well with your recoil systems and gas tuning. Any details on your build specs and suppressor models would be really appreciated!

I spent quite a bit of time chasing that gas issue, only to realize there isn't really one single solution. It's more about getting a bunch of different parts to play nice together, rather than some kind of magic fix.

Direct-thread flow-through cans plus tuned buffer system usually give the cleanest, softest shooting suppressed experience.

I run a Surefire SOCOM brake on a 16-inch barrel with a direct thread can and an adjustable gas block dialed back. It’s kept gas in the face nearly non-existent. That setup really works.
