Hit up the small lake near my place in central Kentucky yesterday. Targeted some bass and brought a few different lures, including a trusty soft plastic worm and a couple of crankbaits. Weather was nice, clear skies but a bit windy, which made casting tricky at times.
Got on the water around 7 AM and started off strong, landing a couple of decent 2-3 pounders right off the bat. But then it slowed down. I missed a few bites — could've swore one of those fish was a solid hit, but nah, just a tease I guess. Spent most of the day working the edges of the brush and we got a few more right before packing it up around noon.
Overall, it was a fun day out, and even managed to avoid losing too many lures this time! How's the fishing for everyone else? Would love to hear what's biting in your neck of the woods.
