Kentucky farmland owners can now hunt and fish on their land without needing a license, even if they do not reside there, according to a recent opinion from the Attorney General. This change allows greater access for landowners to enjoy outdoor activities on their property.

Thanks for sharing this! It’s a great policy change, definitely makes sense that landowners shouldn’t have to get a license to hunt on their own property. This is a positive step for folks in Kentucky. Is anyone here affected by this?

This doesn't affect me since I have one large parcel, and this maybe getting down in the weeds, but let's say someone has 100 acres divided into 4 parcels. They live on one but could they still have hunted on the other 3 since they technically didn't reside on those parcels? Maybe I am over thinking all of this?
