Which calibers do you really shoot?

If you had to narrow down your ammo shelf to just your most-used calibers, which ones would you keep? I’m not talking about those quirky rounds or guns that are more for show, just the calibers you train with regularly. Share what platforms you use, how often you hit the range, and what functions they serve for you.

During the competition season it’s mostly 9mm, in GLOCK pistols with 125 grain reloads. We have fired over 30,000 rounds of 9mm between us, last year was close at 28,500. We shoot daily. 45 acp for some divisions and the wife shoots 45 GAP.

We train with ars and shotguns, several times a week. Usually just 55 grain ball, but several of the rifles need 62 grain and up to shoot well. One for long range is a 24” barrel build that needs Mk 262 to reach its potential.

Carry guns are 9’s, in some type of GLOCK flavor. Bit we have a few others also.

Savage Model 11 chambered in 22.250AI that I use for shooting varmints across my pasture. The pasture is 570 yards to the far corner but my longest hit has been a raccoon at 460 yards.

My regular deer rifle is a Ruger No. 1 chambered in 7x57 Mauser and I couldn't live without my long range rifle, a left handed Montana Rifle Co rifle chambered in 6.5x284 that I use for varmint and deer/antelope hunting. I took my biggest whitetail with it and a coyote at 732 yards and prairie dogs out to 799 yards.

I may have one more trip to Africa left in me and if so I couldn't go without my left handed Winchester Safari Express in 375 H&H magnum.
