I started reloading last winter and my cost per round dropped significantly, my time spent in the garage increased significantly and my wife's patience has been... variable.
That sounds about right. You save a little on each round, then end up spending more with extra shooting and time. It becomes more of a routine than just a cost thing.
I ended up spending triple the time in the garage, which did bring costs down. My wife's patience definitely varied but honestly, it felt like a fair trade. There's just something calming about getting lost in the work.
I'm set up in my basement so I don't have to tolerate the heat or cold. Since I retired and I'm home everyday, Wifezilla doesn't mind me being down there by myself.
