I started reloading last winter and my cost per round dropped significantly, my time spent in the garage increased significantly and my wife's patience has been... variable. :)

Congratulations, you discovered the reloader’s paradox: cheaper ammo but somehow you’re always buying more equipment

That sounds about right. You save a little on each round, then end up spending more with extra shooting and time. It becomes more of a routine than just a cost thing.

I ended up spending triple the time in the garage, which did bring costs down. My wife's patience definitely varied but honestly, it felt like a fair trade. There's just something calming about getting lost in the work.

I'm set up in my basement so I don't have to tolerate the heat or cold. Since I retired and I'm home everyday, Wifezilla doesn't mind me being down there by myself.
